During a state of emergency, you cannot make changes to your policies.

According to the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA), once the United States Weather Bureau declares a a windstorm as a hurricane, no new or increased coverage applications will be accepted. This is in effect if the storm is located in the Gulf of Mexico, or within the boundaries of 80 degrees west longitude and 20 degrees north latitude.

Summer started on June 1st, meaning hurricane season is officially here! If you think that you need to get insured, or increase the coverage on your assets, do so now.
