A few tips on how to save better on your insurance rate

Updated: Jun 8, 2020

Although money doesn't buy happiness, living comfortably still comes at a cost. Setting money aside can be extremely challenging when things are tough. Here are a few tips on how to improve your savings through insurance:

1. Share with your carrier as many details as you can so they can apply appropriate discounts for you.

By adding additional certificates such as one from a driver safety course for your auto, or proof of a monitoring alarm system in your home, you can certainly earn savings. If you are a Registered Nurse, Engineer, or Attorney, you already qualify for a discount on your insurance policy. This of course isn't limited to just those career fields.

2. Quote with as many carriers as possible

This can be tiring, which is why GCIS, LLC, is an independent insurance agency. We run quotes with multiple carriers to find the cheapest rate with the best coverage for you.

3. Bundle up!

The more policies you decide to carry with an agency, the more savings you will earn.

4. Review your policies

If you are already insured, reviewing your policies will certainly aid in lowering your premium. Also, the method in how you pay off your premiums matter as well. With payment plan options come premium changes, the more you pay upfront, the cheaper the overall premium will be.
